El primer Foro Mundial sobre los Refugiados concluyó con más de 770 compromisos para impulsar las oportunidades para los refugiados y quienes les acogen, ayudarán a millones de refugiados y a las comunidades en las que viven en todo el mundo, incluyendo importantes compromisos a largo plazo para su inclusión.

“Quiero agradecer los esfuerzos comprometidos por muchos países, tanto donantes como países de acogida, y por los líderes empresariales, la sociedad civil y los propios refugiados, para redoblar los esfuerzos en apoyo de la inclusión de los refugiados, la autosuficiencia y las soluciones”, dijo el Alto Comisionado de las Naciones Unidas, Filippo Grandi, en la sesión de clausura en el primer Foro Mundial sobre los Refugiados.

“La energía y el compromiso que ha resonado en los últimos tres días es un testimonio de que, a pesar de un entorno global difícil, existe un compromiso compartido para proteger a los que huyen en busca de protección”.

El Foro se reunió en Ginebra en un momento en el que 70,8 millones de personas se encuentran desplazadas por la fuerza en todo el mundo, incluidos 25,9 millones de refugiados. Este Foro pretendía replantear las respuestas a los millones desarraigados por las guerras y la persecución, así como a las comunidades que los acogen, principalmente en los países en desarrollo.

El primer Foro Mundial sobre los Refugiados llega al final de una década tumultuosa en la que el número de refugiados en todo el mundo se ha duplicado a más de 25 millones.

Convocado a nivel ministerial, el Foro Mundial sobre los Refugiados es una oportunidad para traducir el principio de reparto de la responsabilidad internacional, que se encuentra en el corazón del Pacto Mundial sobre los Refugiados, en acciones concretas. En esta ocasión única, la comunidad internacional se unirá para anunciar nuevas y audaces medidas para:

• Aliviar las presiones sobre los países de acogida;
• Mejorar la autosuficiencia de los refugiados;
• Ampliar el acceso a las soluciones de terceros países; y
• Condiciones de apoyo en los países de origen para el retorno en condiciones de seguridad y dignidad.

El Foro mostrará compromisos y contribuciones de alto nivel de impacto, así como el intercambio de buenas prácticas que piden a los Estados, refugiados, actores del desarrollo, el sector privado, entidades de la ONU, organizaciones de la sociedad civil, académicos y líderes religiosos, entre otros, asumir un rol. Los propios refugiados están a la vanguardia de los preparativos para el Foro y participan y son consultados en todo momento.

To do this, we build strong partnerships with all the major platforms, such as Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon. The Director of Strategic Game Partnerships will be a key player in identifying new game licensing and managing the strategic partnerships in the US for Tencent Games. The role will require communication across functional teams and requires an individual who is proactive, not afraid to get his/her hands dirty, and is comfortable navigating through complex environments. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and source new licensing, strategic investment and partnership opportunities within the US for Tencent Games.
• Manage and grow existing relationships with key partners
• Build senior-level relationships with game developers and publishers from the PC, mobile, and console gaming space.
• Prepare and present proposals to internal management teams.
• Negotiate contracts while working cross-functionally with internal management, finance, legal, and product teams.
• Travel, as necessary, to both US and international locations, as a representative of Tencent Games.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for gaming!
• BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred
• At least 8 years of experience in business development or corporate development with recent years in the mobile gaming industry
• Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
• Passionate, committed, self-starter with high level of initiative, energy, ownership, and urgency, with a sincerely willingness to learn from global team members at all levels
• Team player with outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Comfortable with handling ambiguity and collaborating across different functional teams and departments
• Very strategic, but not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves and do the tactical work
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities
• Proactive and takes initiative. Thinks creatively. Drives projects to completion. Insists on highest level of quality.
• Ability to consistently work in the assigned office location and travel domestically and internationally as needed.
